My name is Przemek Krawczyński,
I live in Łódź, Poland. I started making gourd lamps in 2009
when, for the first time in my life, I accidently came across the gourd fruit. As soon as I made my
first gourd lamp, which still has its place in my room, I knew that I want to make other lamps, and
soon, it became the passion of my life.
I’m a self-taught man. Since I started, I knew that I want to create something new, something
different, something that would be of the unique style and quality.
Although I have always been drawn to different forms of visual art, first and foremost, I have
a scientific mind. I studied building engineering and for several years I worked in the architectonic
office. However, in 2010 I have decided to quit my studies and my work and devote my time to
doing something I loved the most. It was the time when I travelled to Senegal from where I brought
African gourds which, since that time, became the raw material for my lamps.
Whenever I have free time, I enjoy playing the west african drums - djembe and dun duns.
I swim, run, cycle, and read. For me, music is the inseparable part of my life, it inspires me and
accompanies the hours I spend on working.
I love what I do, my work is my passion. What is more, I feel enormous satisfaction and
motivation to keep on creating more lamps when I see how great an interest there is about my work
and how much people appreciate it.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I want to make extraordinary lamps for people who appreciate original, exceptional things, highest quality, precision and the care for details.
