Globe III
This is the third globe lamp I created so far and it is the only lamp design that I have reproduced. All in all, it is not me who “designed this pattern”.
The Earth
Like the first Globe it’s a precise model of the Earth.
Meridians and circles of latitude are marked every 20 degrees; the contours of the continents are reconstructed accordingly.
The Details
Working on this lamp I decided to make the land surface very smooth to show the beautiful veins of the gourd that make the character of the globe even more organic.
The base made of American walnut wood was created by Lech Kostyszak from Unique Wood Design.
The Globe III
With Globe III, the most difficult and time-consuming stages were carving and polishing the surface of the continents. Carvings near the contours are deeper to create a shading effect.

Our Planet
Although the light patterns created by a globe lamp aren’t as spectacular as in the case of my other lamps, I must say there is something magical in seeing such version of our planet and making this lamp brought me a huge satisfaction.
